This 40 member ensemble, under the direction of Brian Hutchinson, concentrates on major symphonic literature for band form all periods of music and in a variety of styles. The class includes some basic music theory, different instrumental techniques, and large and small ensemble techniques.

Concert Band Features:

• Five rehearsals every two weeks during school
• Graded for credit
• At least three major Concert Performances per year
• Performs for the Yearbook Dedication Ceremony
• Performs at many community events, (new bridge dedication, parades, nursing homes,etc.)
• Performs assemblies for the Elementary School as well as at the High School
• Some members perform for the Spring Musical Productions
• Members may audition to participate in the Kennebec Valley Music Festival
• Members may audition to participate at All-State Music Festival
• The Music Department hosts the State Large Group Festival
