Course Overview: |

Fifth grade chorus an elective course offered to all fifth grade students.
This is a beginning level chorus and stresses ensemble singing. The chorus
performs at two major concerts, the Christmas concert and the spring concert,
to demonstrate what has been learned in class. |

Objectives: |

| |
|
- To develop each student's ability to express emotional and meaningful

basic music skills necessary to understand, appreciate, enjoy, and

Course Content: |

- Instructional rehearsals are held twice a week for approximately forty
minutes. Students are expected to practice their parts at home. (A6,8,9) (B6) (C6)

- Concerts are
designed to demonstrate what learning has been accomplished in class.

Using a balanced variety of age-level appropriate music and choral literature,
the vocal music program will plan it's curriculum to train each student
in the following skills. |
