Assessing the Nation Standards for Music Education From Performance Standards for Music - Strategies and Benchmarks for Assessing Progress toward the national Standards
	Content Standard 1	Singing, alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music
	Achievement Standard 1b.	Students sing music written in four parts, with and without accompaniment
	Assessment Strategy	Each semester, the student's individual performance is tape recorded during rehearsals of unaccompanied works in four to eight parts. The works may vary in level of difficulty from 3 to 5. Each work has beeen rehearsed previously. The Strategy should be repeated with accompanied works.
